Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat – Musical

This is a Broadway-style classic musical produced in June 2024 at the People’s Bank Theater. The director is Geoffrey Coward, the choreographer is Jill Ruff, and the musical director is David Tadlock. The venue is located at 222 Putnam Street, Marietta, Ohio. I was responsible for the lighting design and programming, as well as operating the lights during the performances. I used a GrandMA2 for programming.

In this musical, we utilized projection technology, which required careful consideration in the lighting design to ensure precise zoning of the stage lighting to avoid interfering with the projection images.

In this performance, I set up an external monitor for the Stage Manager that displayed the cue sheet. I also configured a clock and an automatically triggered stopwatch to record the duration of each act.

In this performance, I innovated the use of moving lights, focusing on enhancing the ambient rendering by projecting colors and textures from the stage onto the walls on both sides of the auditorium. The feedback from the audience was very positive.

In the archival process for this production, I recorded the performance and overlaid real-time cue sheet information during the recording.

The images are sourced from the official social media accounts of the People’s Bank Theater and from my own photography.
